The unemployment rate in Italy topped out at 12.7% of total labor force in 2014 as a consequence of a rapid growth since 2007. However, after the peak, unemployment suffered the shrinkage of 1.1% by 2016.
International agencies including IMF, UN, EC, and OECD all predict this downturn to continue.
