Every year almost 2 million people in the world die due to AIDS, from which 1.2 million in Africa. Prevalence of HIV over the world has been decreasing since 2003. During 2003-2009 prevalence of HIV among population ages 15-49 declined from 1.04% to 0.78%. Nevertheless, low income and especially African countries continue to suffer from HIV/AIDS.
