Human Resources in Science and Technology

The data on stock of Human Resources in Science and Technology (HRST) may be used as a proxy indicator of the level of development of the knowledge economy. HRST are devided into 3 groups: core, education and occupation. The central group of HRST, the 'HRST core', includes people who have a university-level degree as well as who are working in a science and technology field. The HRST core group is chief to the development of knowledge and innovation.
