UN, EC and OECD graphs present data showing the expansion of unemployment from 6.1% in 2008 to 8.3% in 2009. The Statistical Office of Canada declared that it was the highest rate for the previous 7 years, but it was followed by downward trend up to the level below 7% in 2014, 2015. Although unemployment in Canada has picked a little up in 2016, it is estimated to weaken in the near future.
