Are we heading towards serious Food Insecurity?

Food insecurity is increasing every year and becoming more and more a matter of serious concern. Many countries across the globe are facing reduction of arable land, along with reduction in yeild due to lack of availability of good seeds, products for crop protection and unpredictable weather conditions. Large agricultural economies like India have seen a reduction in arable lans (per capita) by 30%, while on the contrary the population increased by almost 35%. Food security is going to be a serious issue that needs a coordinated effort across the world to meet the future food needs of our growing population.
