Market Sizing - March 2011. QuERI International databases are among the largest and most complete available from any government or private organization. Based on UNIDO, UN Standard National Accounts, Comtrade, ILO, and National Source data, estimates of production, employment, international trade have been developed. Relying upon a set of 72 detailed IO tables based on the 2002 (updated to 2007) US 400 sector IO model, market demand is calculated consistent with detailed trade and production data. Final demand vectors are based on separate models of private consumption, business investment, and government spending. QuERI models are tied closely to macroeconomic forecasts developed independently by the Economist Intelligence Unit, but models are fully dynamic based on a full scale integration of global trade, production, employment, prices, and market demand. QuERI also maintains a bilateral trade model covering more than 9000 routes and 70 commodities showing trade in terms of nominal value, weight, ocean transport, and air freight flows.
