National Bank of Angola

According to the National Bank of Angola Law No. 16/10, of July 15th repealing Law No. 6/97, of 11 July, the National Bank of Angola is a legal public entity with administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy. It has its headquarters in Luanda and may have offices elsewhere in the country, as well as any form of representation abroad. The main functions of the National Bank of Angola are ensuring the preservation of the value of the national currency, participating in defining the monetary, financial and exchange rate policies, implementation, monitoring and control of monetary, currency and credit systems, management and administration of the payment system.
