Description

The data are from the National Nursing Home Survey (NNHS). The NNHS is a multistage probability sample survey of licensed nursing home facilities with three or more beds that routinely provide nursing care services and of current residents within the facilities. Residents in personal care or domiciliary care homes are excluded. Residents are persons on the roster of the nursing home as of the night before the survey. Information on the nursing home residents was gathered from facility administrators and designated nursing home staff who used medical records to answer the survey questions.
