TransMONEE Database

TransMONEE is the database associated with the UNICEF MONEE project on the living conditions of children and adolescents in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CEE/CIS). The TransMONEE database captures a vast range of data relevant to social and economic issues that affect the well-being of children, young people and women in CEE/CIS. The data represents an important tool for governments, civil society organizations, international organizations, funding institutions, and academia in considering their decisions, policies, programmes, research projects, and agendas. The database is updated every year thanks to the collaboration of National Statistical Offices (NSOs) in the countries of CEE/CIS. The published database presents only a selection of the larger amount of indicators collected annually which are generally used by UNICEF for research and to support its programmes. The MONEE project and the TRANSMONEE database were initiated by the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre in 1992. In 2009, the database migrated to the UNICEF Regional Office for the CEE/CIS countries.
